DiskMap

Terms of Sale and License

Effective October 24, 2026

The short version. You pay $8 once and can use DiskMap on your own PCs. Don't share or resell it. If it's not for you, email us within 14 days for a full refund, no questions asked. DiskMap only moves files to the Recycle Bin when you tell it to, but you're responsible for what you choose to remove.

These terms are an agreement between you and Velorank LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us"), the seller of DiskMap. By buying or using DiskMap you agree to them. Questions? Email scottfoster@velorank.net.

Buying DiskMap

DiskMap costs $8 USD, paid once. There's no subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe, and any sales tax that applies is shown at checkout. After paying you get a download page that works for 7 days and allows up to 5 downloads, so keep a copy of the zip somewhere safe.

Your license

When you buy DiskMap, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it on computers you own or control, for personal use or inside your own business. DiskMap stays our property; you're buying the right to use it, not the software itself.

You may not:

DiskMap includes open-source fonts and components under their own licenses, which come with the app.

Refunds

If DiskMap isn't right for you, email scottfoster@velorank.net within 14 days of purchase from the address you bought with, and we'll refund you in full. No questions asked. Refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe and usually arrive within 5 to 10 business days. Once refunded, your license ends and you should delete your copy.

Your files

DiskMap reads the names, sizes and dates of the files on the drives you scan. It never moves or removes anything unless you select it and confirm. When you do, it moves the items to the Windows Recycle Bin, so you can restore them until you empty the bin. If an item is too large for the Recycle Bin, Windows itself asks whether to delete it permanently.

DiskMap's suggestions ("safe to clear", "worth reviewing") are general guidance, not a guarantee about your particular PC. You're responsible for reviewing what you remove and for keeping backups of anything important.

Updates

We may release updates and fixes for DiskMap. We aren't obliged to, and we may stop selling or supporting it in the future. Your license to the version you bought continues either way.

No warranty

DiskMap is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that DiskMap will be error-free or work on every system.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or use, arising from DiskMap or these terms. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for DiskMap. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Ending the license

Your license ends automatically if you break these terms or receive a refund. When it ends, stop using DiskMap and delete your copies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This doesn't take away any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country you live in.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one in effect when you bought DiskMap. We'll change the date at the top whenever we update them.
